Higby said during the start that they were getting a second angle and taking pictures. Sounds like preparation for a official video to me. Hell it is kinda required after that mess.

I recently worked for a gaming site for several years, and when I interviewed devs, I always did research beforehand. Learn whatever I could about the game in question. Look at what games the dev had made in the past. If I wasn't hugely familiar with the genre, I'd look at that.

This is all standard, bare-minimum legwork for a journalist. And yet, whenever I asked questions that showed I did my homework, devs looked quite surprised and delighted. Because that's not what they're used to dealing with.

It's called doing your job and showing respect to game creators. It's also required if you want to show you respect your own audience. And it's not like it takes tons of work.

A number of the comments in chat (yes we saw them) were unnecessary and a little disappointing. The type of promotion we got from FPSGuru was really good for the product and we welcome it.

I spent roughly 3 years covering every MMO both good and bad and it's a lot harder than it looks. The technical issues were very unfortunate but going under the assumption the interviewer had no PS1 experience, it's extremely difficult to learn that much about the game in a short period of time. He was asking questions that a non-PlanetSide fan is going to ask. A lot of you folks are already on board, but wouldn't you like a hundred thousand more?

Ultimately folks, this was a general interest interview to raise the level of awareness about the product. We did not hype this up as a revealing stream because that was the expectation I wanted to set.

PS: My understanding Hamma is this will go on YouTube.

Bit of an unprofessional interviewer... Not what I expected from FPSGURU.The staff I know from the sister site MMORPG.com do things with the utmost professionalism.

Well on the bright side we got the gunship info.. I didn't catch anything about the hit detection, what was said about that?

Well you're absolutely right Radar, but one can not ignore the obvious contrast between the 2 camera feeds during the interview. On one side Higby and Tray are all suited up and on the other.. well you saw the feed.

At least maybe we got some new eyes on the project.

Let's also not raid casts like this and flame the interviewer or people in the channels watching the streams. That makes this community look horrible - we need to and are better than that.
