Hey guys. I basicaly have two accounts ready for PS2. One of which is my PS1 veteran account which I have not used a Beta key for. The other is a normal account which is 'active' due to a PCGamer Beta key. I recieved an email for my beta key account asking for my PC specs, however when I click 'share specs' from the email, it just takes me to the beta page saying:
'You have already signed-up for the PlanetSide 2 Beta program. If your email address has changed since you signed up, please update it in Account Management so that we can send you the latest updates on the Beta program, including how to jump in if you are selected.' Clearly this hasnt shared my specs. On my veteran account I havent even recieved an email, which is frustrating as I would expect my veteran account to have earlier access than beta key account. Anyone else having these issues or know of a solution? Cheers |

Haven't gotten an email, and don't understand this "Oh just go to sign up again and it'll ask you for your specs" stuff...

So Im wondering just how much of a difference are the person system going to do in order of them to get ahead of other people.
Obviously a person who signed in yestarday won't get ahead of everybody but...People who have signed up for a while and have the better specs for testing, could get a bump IMO. So Im wondering how big of a bump will those people get? Also what are the devs looking for?.....Are they looking for rare combo of systems or are they looking for the most common systems? and if so what are the most common and what are the most rare? I put the same system specs for all my 3 accounts...maybe I should of done it different. |

Just put real specs. You are doing it to help testing, not to start playing earlier. There wont be that much playing in there test as you think. And if you put fake specs you wont be helping them.

I'd say just to be honest. They will need a wide range of specs, so as long as we're vets and/or have a PCGamer key, we'll get in soon enough.
If they need people with high specs at first, it won't help anything to have a lying low spec player. If they are really looking to target low spec performance for one of the tests, it wont be much use to have a high spec machine giving invalid feedback. So just be honest. If you have multiple beta keys and multiple computers, maybe use one computer for each. You will be helping them out as well, giving a wider range of specs to test on. But beyond that, just be honest. |
