There is a patch on the way that should enable it. Might be next week.

On a semi-related note, any idea when proper eyefinity/surround view support will be operational? 'Cos at the moment, it's really quite pointless to even try it.

Without knowing the problem(s) (I've seen pictures but I don't have that setup myself) that you're referring to, I cannot answer that.

Is this Crossfire patch active yet? I'm having a lot of performance issues (haven't tried with 1 card yet). This is my setup:
OS: Windows 7, 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K Boxed RAM: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3-kit @ PC3-12800 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H GPU: Sapphire HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 PCI-e x2 The game runs fairly well when there is no fighting, but once particle effects come into play and I start shooting myself there are significant drops in FPS. Avarage FPS is around 30 with drops to 15, which makes it very hard to hit anything. It is the same wether I run with settings on high or medium, this seems to have little effect. Anyone running Crossfire that has some tips? Is AMD working on an application profile? SOE optimizing? |

You haven't disabled CF at all? You really should. That 6870 should be performing better with that 3570K IMO.

There is no application profile as of yet and those can have a pretty big impact. EDIT: CF: 50 FPS stable outside action, in combat 25-30 FPS (settings don't seem to matter) NO CF: 40 FPS stable outside combat, in combat 35 FPS (everything on high) A strange little detail: redeploy and resupply (press E at a console) are very buggy or just don't work when CF is enabled. EDIT2: NO CF medium setttings: 45 FPS stable. I guess I'm going to have to wait for release to get some Crossfire going! Last edited by Ebs; 2012-11-08 at 12:35 PM. |

Same results as above ^^, CF enabled on my 6850s causes massive lag spikes, disabled yields decent performance. No game profile I tried seemed to have any effect.
I also get just below 40FPS at 2560x1440 on a single 6850 OC'd to 820 core. I thought about complaining, but there was an actual game dev responding to development questions on a 3rd party forum... I don't see that with many games. Ya, I'll just sit tight and assume it's on the way. Last edited by brucethemoose; 2012-11-11 at 12:27 PM. |

The last patch has solved many of the crossfire performance issues, in my experience. If you're having issues with skipping frames, try creating your own profile in catalyst control center with the following settings:
Filtering: program controlled AA: Program controlled V-Sync: always on CrossFire mode: AFR-friendly I've found that this combination on my pair of 5770s allows me to play the game on pretty much max settings. I've been using this for the last month with quite a bit of success, and as of the last patch, even the microstuttering has disappeared to the point that I really can't notice it. Just make sure you're running 12.10 Release and not the 12.11 beta driver package - the driver will crash A LOT if you don't use a release version.

I've found that keeping v-sync enabled goes a long way to make the micro stuttering less noticeable, even if your cards don't push the 60 Hz refresh rate.
