Yeah for sure, also got it pre-ordered already. I played in the beta and I really enjoyed it, but I do find the city size to be lackluster. However they did said they want to make them larger later down the line. But I do really like al those little graphs and layers you can add. Also the fact that every sim has his own task is very cool. That was also the reason the city size was so small compared to the old games, since it would just cost to much processing power. Atleast that is what they told us.

I've known Ocean (the creative director) for many years now. He's a really awesome guy, and I'm really looking forward to this iteration of the game. I haven't played any of them since I worked on the PlayStation version of SimCity 2000!
Now I feel old again.

I've always been more interested in Impressions Games.. Uhm games, the Caesar series, Zeus, Lord of the Realm etc.
I have to say that I'm impressed with how the new SimCity looks so far. First SimCity I played was 2000 on my Amiga... Oh man the horrors that a child's mind can conjure up. Money cheat followed by untold destruction. Hihihi...Hehehe...HAHAHA Sorry, I get that way when I play god. Indeed it does. The online all the time kinda DRM.

Well technically speaking it's going to be all online all the time
From what I've read each region can have citites from other players in time alongside yours, you can also solo play a region. There will also be a global economy.

the game looks awesome, but the drm scared me off. i don´t buy games that force me to install another drm thing and force me to be online all the time.
i have steam installed, that´s enough. so no origine games for me or what this other platform is called. when will they ever learn, that drm is useless and only a hassle for the paying customers. every drm only causes the hackers to scream "challenge accepted!" and every single anti pirating system is cracked within weeks, sometimes only days. waste of money. by the way, this is another valid argument for free to play models.

Yeah it isn't a problem for me either. I am online 99,999% of the time so it probably won't bother me. But I can understand it is annoying for other people. Especially if you don't always have access to an internet connection. But the simulations are also being calculated by the SimCity sever, those aren't being done by your own PC. This also means that the game probably won't ever be cracked. What a good thing is of course
