News: For EU Players: Win a trip to SOE Live

Hey guys, I didn't see anything about this mentioned here yet so I thought I would drop by and shamelessly promote a competition to win an all expenses trip to SOE Live (flight, hotel, SOE Live tickets & some spending money) that we are running over here on EuropeSide:

Sign-ups are running until June 17th @ 17.00, so if you are living in Europe and are 21 or over and want to take part then we would love to see you sign up.

We're also not limiting this to those with only ProSiebenSat.1 Games accounts either btw, so if you're living in Europe and playing with a Station Account (or through Steam) we think its only fair you can take part too.

I'm not too fond of these kind of contests tbh. You're basically pushing people to give up real life to make it to Vegas, which is sad. SOE as company should take its responsibility and not promote any gaming addiction. People who absolutely love this game but log in only one or two hours a day should have an equal chance.

Marketing Fail with a big "F" imo.

The winning soldiers will get to go on an incredible trip. The Las Vegas adventure begins on July 30th, 2013, and lasts until August 4th, 2013. ProSiebenSat.1 Games will give each winning player USD 300 spending money in addition to the return flight and transfer to Las Vegas, hotel and admission to SOE Live. You can meet with PS2 fans from around the world at SOE Live, as well as take part in PlanetSide 2 panels and meet and greet all your favourite developers of PlanetSide 2.

Feedback noted for next time Rolfski! We just wanted to build a competition around score for PlanetSide 2, rewarding the guys who put a lot of time in but I reckon next time we could take a look at letting those who can't play a ton (but who play well) to also have more of a chance.

@Torokf - if you win as an EU SOE player you still get the prize. We decided explicitly not to make a distinction here.

Thanks for the heads up and while I do agree with Rolf I still think it's a great competition for the EU community. It's good to see that you guys will be making three EU players very happy.
I won't be taking part myself, since I don't stand a chance in farming enough points (Nor do I really have the interest in gaming more than I already do)

but what exactly do you mean by "score"?

the best K/D ratio or the most xp gained, or something different?
damn, right now i even had the chance to play 24/7 and certainly get to the finals, but as a support-only player i would have zero chance on the grand prize.
