That person is me!

The reason why I put 0.5 is not that I bought it because of any annoyance factor but because it reminded me that the subbing was an option and that because I was enjoying playing 'free' I should contribute, so I did.

I don't know of anybody from my outfit who subscribed because of Upgrade Now button, but I am pretty sure at least 2 people subscribed for the double XP weekend and 1 SC sales.

Personally, aside from the big upgrade now button, its seems fine.

I personally think that membership is a better deal now with the inclusion of monthly double XP weekends. Most of my friends are already subbed or on a long hiatus from PS waiting for Hossin.
