Wo0t i may be getting a gig of ddr400!

Yeah iwas talking to my friend today who works at a computer store and he said he can get me a gig of samsung Cl3 ddr400 (2x512 i supose) for $150, thats just in my price range, i know its not that great, but it will only runs at 266mhz max anyway(fing celron) so i can turn the timings down, and 150 is about the price of one good 512 stick.

Anway this will give me an oppotunity to do waht many peopl ealways forget to do, benchmark before and after, with PS and maybee some other benches so we can quantify it, instead of "Wow the game is much better now" that we seem to always get.

congrats. my DDR400 runs at DDR333 speeds cuz of my barton 2500+ but eh. when i went to 200FSB (remember it gets doubled) it freaked out and wouldnt load windows. :-/

i would assume, but you can unlock your multiplier to make it run exactaly like a 3200(or was it 3000)+ barton does(lower multi but higher FSB)

you know the 3.2s are getting cheaper everyday. You could always get one. Then you could actually use the whole ram. Maybe your freind can get you one of those too.

i just upgraded to a gig of RAM it fing pwns. and it was the DDR400 stuff
