PS2 recoil plots?

I've previously simulated the firing of guns to produce recoil plots for various CODs, and would like to do the same for PS2.

Firstly, would you like to see such plots? Examples of my COD work at

Here's a sample from MW3: Simulation of 100 ten round bursts; rounds 1-3 in green.

Automatic Rifles

(ironic that I hated MW3 and only played for 8 hours before selling the game)

Secondly - To be able to do so, I will need to have a pretty decent understanding of the recoil mechanics, and also include the effects of the Cone of Fire.

Anyone able to tell me how the recoil mechanics work?

Yeah seen that. Not discouraged though; thought it would be good to have some plots on this forum. Are you able to help?

Well from my knowledge there is 2 or 3 different types of recoil as well as recoil bloom.
Some guns just pull straight up. Some pull up and to the left and other pull up and to the right. As for specifics I got nothing sorry man.

I've been looking into this a bit more, and I think that there is a bit more to this than meets the eye. I'll not be producing any plots until I'm sure that I'm on the right track.

The plots on the official forum are a good effort, but they only cover hipfire, not ADS, and the author has so far been a bit shy about his methods.

Chances are there's someone in those forums that can answer any gun mechanics question you can think of.

Yeah, symthic was in touch with me about my COD recoil plots some time ago.

Den Kirson's Proboard forum is the best place for game mechanics discussions, in my experience; I think that I'll ask Den for advice; he's delved into the stats already - there are variables for Recoil Angle min-max and Recoil Tolerance that exist as well.
