vet approved: ps2 rocks now!


In the last months i was one of these vets claiming this game will fail because of the lack of several game mechanics.
I have to admit that since the amerish patch ps2 rocks as hell. The fights last longer! The factions meet each other on the battlefield. Less ghost hacks. And the list goes on and on. Todays experience let me say the first time that ps2 is better than ps1! if the game allow intercontinental warfare in the near future by providing more continents and good meta game mechanics and a better performance ps2 will be THE UEBER GAME FOR THE NEXT DECADE.

who else changed his mind and see a bright future for ps2?

Amerish itself is an awesome Continent; balanced terrain and pretty good hex sizes.

Taking the sequentially out of unlocks also helped immensely, as I love my new under-slung Grenade Launcher.

amerish is an incredible achievement.
They finally made aircraft viable but not too poweful.
Almost everything works now.

Amerish is everything the other continents should be, truly a masterpiece, just the continent and base layouts alone fixed so many of the issues in the game.

Agreed, a very good patch. Good job there.

Better performance, support / scout xp, nice deploy animations and a continent that plays better than the previous ones. Really nice.

Anyone want to expand on the support xp? What did they decide on? I want to know if I need to complain more.

I've been watching some streams, and it seems better, but TTK is still too fast.

Well, repairing base facilities is now pretty painful... with the overheating glue-gun, but i assume you can cert into heat-sinks or something for it ;p

Well you get a little XP now when a target you've spotted gets killed...

Hacking terminals grant xp now, I can confirm. Thank god - that was kinda bullcrap before.

All of it gives XP.

Resupply gives 10 XP per tick

Repair on MAXes actually gives 15 XP, where on vehicles and terminals 5 or 10 (depending on squad or not)

Healing gives 5 or 10 per tick (depending on squad or not)

Revives are 75 base, 100 for squad

And all support XP is now properly getting bonuses from Population bonuses.

Over all, I am enjoying playing my medic and Engi much more.
