Yeah, I've never been a fan of Origin. I really only use it for BF3, which even then is pretty sporadic.
It just seems picky. For example, I set my install directory to the D drive, but games still try to install to C. Occasionally it somehow deletes its cache or forgets that it's not installed on the C drive (i.e. something something is corrupt blah blah reinstall) It's been nothing but a hassle really. |

Origin is a big reason why i have not played BF3.

Hate Origin. It's just EA's response to Steam, trying to get a piece of that delicious online game distribution pie. And they know people will use it when they release the highly anticipated BF3 for PC supported ONLY on Origin. They know customers will jump through hoops to play their games, which is sad, and which is also why I haven't touched BF3 in months. IMO, wasted $60. For the time I spent in it, worth maybe $30, if that.

"Best" thing about Origin is that is freezes my PC for about 10 seconds every time I start it. Which I simply stopped doing.
Maybe I will deal with it again when Dragon Age 3 lurks arorund the corner, but that should be it. Cant stand EA anymore. |

i uninstalled battlefield 3 because my PC couldn't run it, but origin was REALLY terrible. I played BF3 on xbox, and it is a damn good game, but it is sad that PC players are let down thanks to origin, EA's answer to try and take over steam. far out EA, damn you.

I think Origin just needs time to grow. It hasn't been out long, and it has a lot of bugs and issues to fix. I'm sure once it sees more activity, and gets a few patches it'll be good to go.
Sucks, over the weekend Greenman Gaming was giving BF3 for $20. |
