New to streaming - Help required!

Like the subject says, I am new to streaming and coming across some poor FPS issues while doing so.

My comp specs are as follows:

i7-2600 3.4 GHZ
12 GB RAM
GeForce GTX 660
Fios connection - 17 down / 7 up
AVerMedia C985 Live Gamer HD capture card

I have tried using XSplit, Open Broadcast Software and the AVerMedia RECentral (newest version causes a BSOD) and I can't find a happy medium without suffering frame loss (which I assumed the capture card would prevent?).

If anyone could help me I would appreciate it. If you need more info on my system just ask. Thanks!

Try streaming at a lower resolution than you play at, that might help.

I try to stream @ 720, I play at 1920.

I also play at 1920x1080, but found that even at 720 can have an impact on my performance so I stream at 540 @60fps. You just need to tweak it until you find a happy medium I suppose.

What bit rate are you streaming at? and what is your CPU, veryfast, fastest, fast, medium?
