If it was not obvious that Call of Duty is a yearly title, similar to Madden...I worry about you.

as they prove with CoD and esp madden, just doin the same game but with different names and tiny tweaks here and there will still sell a zillion copies. As long as people mindlessly buy these stale mediocre games (although not much choice with madden due to the complete BS with the the NFL licence) which rewards the companies for making cut and paste copies of the same old game, then nothin will change.
In a PC only world, these constant faux sequels would just be downloadable content. They dont actually make full fledged new stuff, but they can make a ton more money callin it a "new game" rather than admitting its just more of the same and would be better as DLC.

I only play the SP on CoD games now and since I don't pay for it, I don't care.

The figures came out for the sales of MW3. Out sold the previous BLOPS of course. Though of all the sales the Wii/PC only made up 4%. Don't expect any major overhauls on this game till next gen consoles in my opinion. With those kind of sales don't expect Activision to be pushing for a better PC version anytime soon.

BF3 from what I hear has a far worse single player then MW3. I know people buy these games only for single player, but aren't the vast majority just interested in multi? I have never played any of the BF single player only bought for the multi.

You'd be out of your mind to pay more than $15 for the CoD campaigns. They're selling the multiplayer, plain and simple. |
