1. Are you building this computer yourself or having one built for you (Like HP, Alienware, or even a small shop)?
I will build the computer myself 2. What is your budget and does that include shipping/taxes? roughly £1500 including shipping and tax would be ideal but i dont mind if going slightly over gives a significant performance boost. 3. Where do you live (Please list town, state, and country)? salisbury, wiltshire, UK 4. What do you need this computer to do (like gaming, Photoshop, and so on)? bitcoing (or other) mining 5. What parts will you need for the computer? List what parts specifically, saying you need everything will not do. case, i was thinking a cooler master HAF case but im not too fussed cpu, i think AMD is normally chosen for mining rigs but im not certain. motherboard, needs to be capable of having multiple graphics cards and having wake on lan would be useful ram, the minimum required graphics cards, i dont know what is best for this, multiple cards or one bigger card. psu, needs to be able to power everything but a more eco friendly one would be ideal hard drive, nothing fancy needed here i dont think disk drive, again nothing special. 6. Are you reusing any parts for this computer? If so say what parts (make and model). all of this will be purchased new 7. What kind of monitor/resolution do you have or want to get to use for the computer? i will use an old vga monitor to set it up but then will remove it 8. Do you have already have a OS or do you need one? What OS is that? i have windows 7 64 bit 9. What are you looking for the motherboard to have feature wise? Like SLI, Crossfire, Firewire, USB 3.0, Sata 6.0 Gb/s, and so on. i need space for multiple graphics cards 10. Any plans to overclock the CPU or GPU? i might overclock the GPU if that is advisable. 11. What time kind of time frame are you planning on ordering these parts? probably wont order for a few months. ideally i want to be able to turn this on and leave it without being worried about the electricity bill or it overheating but i need enough power to generate a decent income. thanks in advance for your help. |

I do not know much about putting together mining builds. However my current understanding is getting into mining this late into the game is not worthwhile as it really won't be profitable. I personally suggest doing some more research before plugging all that money into this setup.

it can still be profitable if you mine the right things and have a powerful enough computer. after some more research i have come up with this build, can you tell me what you think and if it will all work properly?
