I don't know of any way to change your name other than creating a new character.

Only if you have a "-X" at the end of your name or your name got flagged offensive and you are "NCsoldier24321" can you name change, and I don't remember the command for it. Want to say it was something simple like "/name Newname".

I got a name change easily, maybe about a half a year ago. It was while the game was dead but I was still paying the $15 per month subscription. Just opened a ticket with SOE support and they did it no problem. I bet now that it's free to play they've decided not to support it.

Try the /rename command. If you have a duplicate name, you were offered a one time chance to use /rename.

I believe it is just:

/rename newname

If that doesn't work, tickets must be submitted. And otherwise you can try asking Brewko in a PM?

Tiger just write in the title speak to gm-praesum. He will be the first person to read it might take alil bit but he will write back to you. He been the only csr or gm that actually spoke and told me all he could.

Probably this. I think SOE has support any and all support of PS2. Even when they did "support" it a few years ago it was a huge pain in the ass to get a name change. I think you're stuck with what you got.

They're not even willing to fix any bugs that are in the game right now. Name change isn't going to happen:
