It's easy for Devs to see when people hate something, but they don't always know what we absolutely love already (until they change it and we rage). So here's a thread dedicated to what you LOVE about PS2 so far that you DON'T want them to change!
Killcam (the lack thereof) Friendly Fire New Liberator bomb system Class-specific abilities No (or limited) 3d spotting Resource limited grenades Anyone want to back me up on these? Add to the list? |

*The moving parts presented by Implants/Certs/Various slots are pretty awesome in of themselves (though I'd like more). *Big maps and a bright color scheme are also quite nice.

Hex system encouraging in-field combat. The best battles I experienced in PS1 were over hilly terrain, a freaking rock, or a hole in the ground, not bridge and base battles.
Class system: Finally, everyone and their mom won't be a Rexo/HA/AV/med/eng junky. Everyone has a rifle in fact, which is good. Except the MAX units, they have two freakin' cannons, which is awesome. Now every base tool and weapon is available to me, I just might not be piloting the most tweaked out aircraft or have all the fun gadgets on my rifle like that other guy, and I certainly can't wield it all at once. Lower TTK: Also finally, I won't have to dump what feels like over half a mag into someone's back at point blank while they're pinned into a corner and they're STILL alive and somehow turn around to kick my ass. A lot of newbs quit over similar scenarios, I'm sure. Catching someone off guard should equal a kill if one's aim is true. Period. Watch your six and check those corners, there isn't nearly so much forgiveness for sloppy and careless game play this time around! Weapon/Armor/Vehicle customization: Because the certs of PS1 were freaking bare-bones and in themselves didn't make my character feel very deep or specialized with each one I got, just less restricted to what I could do. Also, the more solid armor bits I can put on my medic/engineer, the better! Actual vehicle physics: Holy crap, I might actually enjoy flying this time! On that note, empire specific aircraft and turning the liberator into a gunship. Freaking A. And need it be mentioned? The massive scale of it all. 2000 players. One map. One goal. For land. For power. Forever. I really want to play Planetside 2. Last edited by Littleman; 2012-07-08 at 10:32 PM. |

-Each faction having a very different feel
-The fact that there are three factions, as opposed to two -A good amount of depth to weapon/vehicle customization -The art style. Holy shit I can't tell you how sick I am of having to play BROWN & BLOOM shooters. Happy to see a little bit of color. |

I remember being so excited about BF3 because of the vehicles and the size of the maps. Seeing this game just blows my mind at how awesome it's going to be. I really like what the game looks like at night too with all the lights, lasers, explosions, etc.
