Good find!
I love that pulsing shield! We need these; I don't know why we do, but we do.

it looks well done for a graphics update, but im glad sony put in the funding for a brand new game. if they tried to publish this it would have been flopped horribly lol.

That's exactly what it is I think. It's from the Sony Mentor Program, but was interesting to see that it contained Planetside 2 assets and thought I would share it.

Was anyone else thinking... "So this is what Planetside would have looked like if it took on Team Fortress 2's Art style?"

damn i hope you didn´t have to do something illegal to find all this nice stuff

wouldn´t want to upset any devs or lawyers.

but this looks definitely like planetside next concept. at first it was planned to be very very close to ps1 before they decided to start over with the heavy redesign of the game.

i really hope we will see some of those retro bases in the game. just for the heavy clusterfuck of and retro feeling. not too much of them, but at least one old style base has to be found somewhere. maybe one of every old type (tech, bio, amp, drop, interlink)

The video above is way more than a graphics update, but I do like that it uses the old style of base designs somewhat. Quite cramped in between the rocks, making it very jumpjet infantry oriented.

The closeness of the two bases is interesting. Perhaps you have to take out the shield generator in one base to move to the next?

Could be they do the "PS Next" thing some time after anyway, if PS2 made enough moneys. >.>
