Apex Helmets

Are these actually illuminated? I'm not a fan of the NC Combat Medic Composite Helmet, and kind of like the look of the Apex a little better, but not if it actually has lights on it.

No they aren't. Not sure why they are even called Illuminated.

Apex Helmets make NC look like firemen, especially MAX.
And a TR in an Apex Helmet reminds me of those guys from web comics, I don't remember the name of which, sadly.

But that's totally offtopic, I get that.

I realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder (I'm not going to be killing any beholders to find out, so don't ask!) but these helmets are just amazingly ugly to me.

Every time I see one I think we're playing a Virginia coal mining game, or that maybe they let the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on their art design team.

VS Infiltrator's Apex helmet looks like a cheap biking helmet. It really looks stupid, IMO.

When I first saw them I thought of a hard hat, all that was missing was a danger sign "Falling liberators, hard hat required".
