The Overwatch, a public oligarchy that directs the great Terran Republic, establishes and maintains order amongst the Empire. However, their reach only goes so far; they require another force to act for them on the battlefield. That force is us.
We are The Right Hand of the Overwatch. We are a North American based outfit looking to take full advantage of the massive scale of Planetside 2. We hope to see hundreds of our members turn the tides of battles and create new wars. We want to make the experience of Planetside 2 as epic as possible. When the battle on Auraxis begins, we will be a major force for the Republic. Our command is divided into four specialized divisions: Infantry, Armored, Aerial Operations, and Special Operations. All of these divisions will work together in missions that will be organized on a weekly basis (although they may become more frequent, depending on the situation). Within these divisions are specific roles and separate chains of command, all of which can be found on our website. As a member of The Right Hand you are mainly expected to: 1. Respect your Superiors 2. Respect your fellow Soldiers 3. Follow Orders in Operational Situations (Microphones are only necessary for command positions, but they are highly recommended for everyone) We are looking for both hardcore and casual players. We will accept you if you play 10 hours a day or if you play 30 minutes a week; the Overwatch needs every able-bodied soldier. To account for this discrepancy, The Right Hand is divided into two Corps: the Active Corps and the Reserve Corps. While the Active Corps is required to participate in planned missions on a regular basis, the Reserve Corps may choose not to participate, or they may choose to sign up for missions. Active Corps members receive more benefits than Reserve, but Reserve Corps members can play at their own pace and time schedule. Entrance into The Right Hand begins with your application on our website. After choosing your division, take a look at your division’s page to see when the next training day will be. All members, Active and Reserve, must go through training. In the Reserve Corps, you now have the freedom of choosing an Active team (Platoon or Squadron) in an upcoming mission or operation. After completing training, members of the Active Corps must search the forums for your division’s team directory. Each division (except for SpecOps) has two types of teams: Primary and Secondary. Primary teams accept all applications and provide the bulk of the division. If you want to do some more specialized operations in a small, close-knit group, Secondary teams may be your preference. These teams are not started by the outfit, but are rather started by an officer. As such, they may not be available at all times. Although these smaller groups may be less official and possibly more customized, they are still very much expected to attend all missions and adhere to the rules set forth by the outfit. Secondary teams are suited towards players who want to group up with people they know or want to have their own specialized group, but still want to be part of a greater war machine. Thanks. We plan on having a large outfit wide objective once a week with both the hardcore and casual players. We will have smaller objectives throughout the week. As for leading, you will need to take the time to get ranked up in your division. The time it takes to get into an officer position is entirely up to you. Play more often and show that you're qualified and you will be an officer in no time.
