Enemies farther than ten meters away will no longer display health bars when spotted; this applies to both infantry and vehicles.
Possibly paving the way for the Enhanced Targeting Implant?

Edit: Didn't realize this site was still up :P (I couldn't find the PSU PS1 Wiki)

I would say that's a safe assumption.

I would also like to have an vehicle occupant scanner implant. Only people with that implant can see how many enemies are in a vehicle.

If that is the case, I'm not wild about it...

"Okay guys, now spend money to buy this implant that will allow you to do what you were already able to do before"

Where are people getting the assumption that you will have to pay for implants from? Was it stated by a developer?

Also you should be lucky that you are able to see this information at all, in Planetside 1 you couldn't see health bars at all or names at long range without that implant.

I mean, I find it pretty likely that there will be something for buying implants. Nothing really that states it is a certain thing, but I would be surprised if you couldn't buy them.

Lucky or not, the thing is, if they Remove a feature that was already in, and then add it back in via some kind of redundant add-on to your armor, I call that an iffy decision.

I dont care about that implant the only implant I want to see is the one that allows for me to spot cloakers at a resonable distance. Sneaky bastards

it would be like removing shields from infantry then making you get an implant to have them back.

i kind of like that idea actually. as long as we start off with hp parity.

stoked for implants even if some of them are CODlike in terms of faster reload, faster ADS.

It's all about more choices so i dig it all.

I'd love Adv Targetting but implants should be unlocked without SC.

I'd love to see you unlock different implants through different ingame actions. Like make adv targetting be unlocked by spotting and getting spot assists and spotted kills etc. Make it based on in game actions that are the same for free and paying players and not XP based.

Want quicker reload speed? get a certain amount of kills right after a reload, or get darklight by killing cloaked players, etc.

This way you have to choose what to work towards and earn it in a fair way that any player can do.

Station cash for implant? Doubt it. Advanced targeting for instance wouldn't be a "convenience" booster like extra resources (saving time), it would be an edge in the game over someone who may not have spent money. I think it would fall in line with items like medkits and C4

Gimme surge or darklight though tbh. The ttk on infantry has moved somewhat from PS1's days! And attacking vehicles: well you're either all in or all out so who cares. It was nice while it lasted but really we've been spoilt

What do you expect from F2P games? The business plan is the fuck over the players.

I want a variable zoom implant.

Nothing crazy just 1x3.4 or 1x4

Call me crazy, but I actually prefer NOT to see things like health bars. Sure, if it's an option you can turn on and off then by all means have it there but I prefer shooting stuff and not having some icon show up.

Hell, I even disabled hit direction and crosshairs on farcry and call of duty (the first farcry and COD 1 and 2). And ESPECIALLY health bars on Dynasty Warriors. Made knowing where the enemy is easier by looking at, you know, their bodies.

And before anyone asks, yes, I did the games on hard/veteran. Playing without icons and crosshairs actually made me use more skill then resort to a "oh look, I point here and click and boom" solution.

Knowing enemy health just seems kinda cheap if it's not had any effort put in to see it.

Note: I state all this as a none paying (and never paying) gamer.

Just saying.
