PSU IRC Has Returned!

This has not been officially announced to the entire community yet because some tweaks are being made however I wanted to make all our regular visitors aware that PSU IRC has returned!

We'd love to see you online - you never know who'll drop by. If you need an IRC program, two very popular ones can be found here:

http://www.mirc.com
http://www.ceruleanstudios.com

To connect to PSU's IRC, just make a new server entry (PSU won't be in the pre-canned drop down list) and enter the following address:
irc.planetside-universe.com
The port is the standard 6667

We also have chat accessible right through the forums!

If you are already on IRC and want to also connect to PSU please refer to our IRC FAQ located below:

It will explain ways to make connections to multiple IRC servers at the same time as well as some general help with IRC.

why does it say my address is banned from #ps-universe
channel for americans only?
never been there before, can join other 'channels' on that network

Looks like a join/part flood - i.e. you joined and left the channel numerous times in a short peroid of time. The bots look at this as possible malicious activity as a user could disrupt a channel with such actions. Your ban has been removed and you are free to join.
