Character A can use certs to unlock a weapon. Universal Unlocks allow other characters to use that weapon too. What if all characters shared a Universal Cert Pool?
I'm not advocating for this, it's just a random thought. This should be an interesting discussion. F* it, might as well make a poll.

I still see this as an RPG or sorts. I really think a character's development should matter more, not less.
When real money is involved account-wide unlocks are a value issue. Not so with certs.

I'd like it if XP and unlocks were per-account rather than per-character. Unlock flak armor for HA, and all your HAs on that account get flak armor. Unlock a weapon, and all your toons get that weapon or it's other-empire equivalent.
It's not a major problem the way it is now though. All a new character really needs is a 2nd burster arm for $3.33 (per account), and AMS for 50 certs (per character). |

I voted "yes", but there's giant pros .... & the cons are downright scary. With Piggy's UCP idea, it's a Greifers wish come true .... they could make a new Alt with BR1, but with the skills of their primary ? It's such a dicotomy to me that a guy could be skilled & motivated enough to reach BR50, or even yet anywhere close to BR100 .... yet still be blind to how destructive Griefing is to the overall playablilty & enjoyment of this MMO. Some of the professional griefers seem to almost approach their Greifing stategies & abilities as some twisted badge of honor ..... like it's the ultimate display of loyalty to go Grief either enemey Empire. The other significant con ? .... it does seem to steal whatever "fun" or sense of accomplishment can come with a new character/alt. If it gets all of your Unlocked Cert Benefits ..... it's essentially your original character with a different name, dif BR, .... and perhaps different colors, gender, ...... This is completely watering down the game.
So much of the fun is slowy unlocking and tricking out your character. props to SOE for making such an expansive cert tree that takes forever to fully unlock. If you want to trick out a character then play that character having a universal cert pool would just be boring and lame.

Fucking hell, no way!
Ahem... here's my problem with this: TR are 5 minutes away from taking a 90% cut of an alert and all the Johnny blues and purples jump ship to the reds to collect certs that go into this pot. Voila this pot is used against the TR. No
