After Hammas thread "lets focus on the real issues" i realized that i was way too negative.
Now i want to try it with positivity. Therefore i want to say that gun play is just awesome in ps2. It is really better than in ps1. The devs really did a hell of a job regarding this issue. Please discuss what you think about the gunplay in ps2. (Pleas look on the bright side of life: only positiv posts allowed! ) |

I'm really impressed by the gunplay so far; seems pretty responsive and crisp, despite my iffy internet connection.
I just love those massive protracted gun battles that occur form time to time at the well known hot spots. No other game that I have played comes close in this respect. |

I don't think there are all that many negative posts from vets tbh. It may seem that way cause a lot of them are critical criticisms. However they are still constructive for the majority of the time I think.
With others not understanding what we are talking about they come in and think something being said is not right but that person just doesn't know enough about what is being discussed to understand. So now they think we are elitists. Now we have to do a "happy song-n-dance" to make it look like we aren't negative? Sound like us vets need a PR department. Also, who's defining what the "real issues" are? Are you saying the players should not determine for themselves what the real issues are and go off of some list that someone else dictates what they are? I like the gun play, one area I would say needs a bit of improvment is the sound of the NC weapons, it just needs to be a bit crisper in my opinion. Sometimes the guns sound for lack of a better word "feathery" and for a force that is supposed to have a harder hitting ammo it could be crisper and louder. Then again that is just my preference. I have not played the other factions much but the sound seems right for their back story.

I have to admit that it was not my intention to just talk about the awesomeness of the gunplay.
Gunplay in ps2 is good and almost everbody agree with that. What i want to show with this thread is that talking about the good stuff in ps2 is boring and not a "real issue". The "real issues" are the problems that ps2 is facing and to point on problems will always be connected to somekind of negativity. I cant understand why the Devs say they will stop reading in this forum because of the overall negativity. With our negativity we are pointing on the hot topics, the things we really care about. Talking about the awesomeness of the gunplay is not the task of the real fans of ps2 its the task of the SOE-marketing team. The real fans talk about the things which we are missing to make ps2 the best game in the world. |

PS2 Gun play is good, the TTK is much faster than PS2, but I classify that as different not better or worse.
Related to this, PS2 is also much better than PS1 for outdoor Infantry fights. Proliferation of Infantry detecting radar and AA nerfs could change this for the worse, but atm it is good. |

Huh? I thought someone said in this forum weeks ago that PS2's gunplay seems like it came from 3rd world low-quality FPS titles...
But anyway, I'm liking the overall feel and gunplay so far, well personally =) |
