Does this game crash a lot?

I'm not gonna brag about my system, it's good, stable and there is nothing wrong with it. My two friends have had the exact same problem, we all have the same GPU and I'm water cooled so it isn't heat. Like the game will crash randomly like anywhere between 30mins to 2 hours without fail, it'll just always crash and it is so annoying. The game never used to crash but it just loves doing it now..

I only crash if I have PhysX enabled.

I have PhysX enabled. I crash at least once every hour, sometimes more often.

It's right in the graphic settings now. There is a checkbox.

Even without PhysX I crash intermittently. Sometimes it'll be twice in 30mins, other times it won't crash for an hour.

Yep, I crash within 2 hours sometimes as fast as 30 minutes. I've tried updating every driver I have on my system and still no luck. (With PhysX off this is, with PhysX on I crash within 10 minutes usually) GTX 680 4gb, shouldn't be having problems due to graphics but w/e, I've given up on them :|

I have crashes at random intervals with no pattern I can see. Even worse is when it decides to crash when you pull a vehicle sometimes leaving you with a timer when you log back in.

The general answer is yes, for some, no for others.

For me personally, I have had an issue, predominately when trying the most recent NVidia drivers. 320.18 resulted in random crashes, sometimes only minutes apart. The latest beta drivers were better, but I'd still get occasional crashes.

Reverting to the 316.xx drivers seems to have cured the issue. Also, there is an SOE post indicating these are considered the most stable currently.

My system:

I7-920 @ 3.5ghz
2x Geforce 660ti SLI.
6gb
Raid 0 primary drive, SSD for PS2.

Can't seem to find 316.xxx version of drivers. Only see 314.xxx and 320.xxx available on the NVidia site.

I do crash every so often. It seem to be correlated to the in-game VOIP, but it's random. I've also seen hugh lag spikes occur in certain spots on the map that cause me to have to restart the game. Not sure if that's caused by an issue server side or not though.

I've been running with the 314.07 drivers for a while. And those are the current version available to download. 320.xxx is available but listed as beta drivers.

I crash maybe once a week, not counting the guaranteed crash at exit.

Re: Does this game crash a lot?

i dont have physx and i crash at least once every day when i play PS2

its funny, i get killed more times by crashing then getting killed by ESF's (crashing seems to occur mostly when flying....) once after a crash when i had my ESF, i pulled another one, and just as i did... the game crashed. it doesn't happen in game as much now.

but i think one of the worst times a crash has occurred was when there was 2 minutes left on a indar domination alert we were winning, and also a galaxy decided to head straight for me (i was in an anti air turret at quatz i think) i nearly killed it.... then i crashed. by the time the alert was over i didn't get any xp for it. thousands of certs gone, down the drain. and if i remember, i think it was a double xp weekend, however i dont remember.

SOE should add a system similar to Tribes Ascend in which if you leave a match that is still in progress, you still get xp depending on how much you did, how well you did, and if you won the match or not. that would "fix" some of the crashing problems people have.

I never crash (apart from when I log out and then I crash every time, but then I'm logging out so I don't care).

On the other hand I don't play long sessions so maybe that's why I don't crash....
