I've noticed that many scythe pilots are now intentionally trying to ram enemy aircraft. It appears that scythes always fare much better after a collision taking much less to little damage vs. the complete destruction of the enemy aircraft they intentionally rammed.
Is this a bug or an intentional design of scythe aircraft? |

if this is intentional, it should require a certed module! the suiscythe
but the other factions should get something unique in return.

I think it's a bug. I haven't had this happen to me yet, as I am always shot down first (as I am TERRIBLE at A2A combat).
Edit: Sometimes I wonder how I can even be shot down with some of the crazy sh*t I do when I'mbeing chased down... :P Maybe I'll make a vid sometime? o-O Last edited by HiroshiChugi; 2013-05-02 at 07:46 AM. |

Hiroshi can I give you some advise for posting picture, you don't copy the web link from the top of the page and put it in the [img]**[img]
you right click on the picture itself and go to properties, copy that address and put it in the [img] section on this forum. Viola no more Red X's

Not a fun bug to be a victim of.
The Scythe pilot attempts to fly directly head on against the enemy ESF and then quickly flies over the enemy ESF causing the bug to kick in. The result is the enemy ESF receives nearly 95% damage up to the complete destruction of the ESF while the Scythe may receive anywhere from 0% to 50% damage. I hope they address this issue soon. Not fun to see Scythe pilots exploiting this. Not all do, but a few do take advantage of the bug. Last edited by Roderick; 2013-05-02 at 10:58 AM. |

Its not a bug. All Aircraft take less collision damage when they contact something from the belly. This is so they can land safer.
The Sythe happens to have a larger belly area and is easier to hit other aircraft with it. |

What he said, it's not a bug. Works the same exact way with the Reaver and Mosquito, you guys just have less bottom surface so it doesn't happen as often. There's a few mosquito pilots on Waterson who are quite good at it as well though.

Bug or not, I do not think it was intended for a Scythe to produce this type of damage result when combating an enemy ESF. I can see this damage coming from collisions with bigger ships like the Galaxy and Liberator.
If it was intended, I would like to read it from one of the Devs. |
