could be pretty cool with the effects they got now a days. get the right peeps and a good script maybe. hopefully they would bring in a bunch of no name actors though like they did with that first star wars movies. would need a good director though with some real good characters playing in the armies.

Re: Live Action Movie

Would be hard to write a plot for such a movie that would connect to the audience. I could see it as a slow decent into madness as the characters humanities are eroded by constant death, war, and rebirth. The main problem is that its difficult to make a catharsis for it. I suppose you could have the character overcome their dehumanization but at the end the war hasn't stopped.

Hmm... guess you could have it be a romance where in an effort to escape from the war two members of a side steal a shuttle and fly off into the void at the end to die of starvation once and for all. One of those "immortality sucks" sort of lessons.

American Psycho didn't need a Catharsis. Planetside doesn't need one either!

It's basically American Psychox1000 anyways.

I think it'd work better as a series. Preferably animated. If I were to do it, I'd start the series off with Thomas Connery and his story, and after that completes and it got renewed for a 2nd season, I'd do an entire season of one-shot episodes highlighting major battles each with a different character.
