Uninstalling Direct X

I recently installed DirectX 9 on my computer and now I have all kinds of graphical glitchs. I am sending my graphics card backing and getting a new one, but before I do I want t omake sure it isn't DirectX. How do I uninstall DirectX9 so that I can instal directX 8, which is what I had before.

Thanks in advance.

Most people will tell you that you can not uninstall directX. However, if you search google.com for "directX uninstaller" you'll find some programs that will remove directX from your computer.

I've never used any of those programs and so I can't tell you how safe they are to use. So if you use it and screw up your machine, it's your own fault.
