Contacting players

OK, maybe I am blind, but is there some way to contact players via message/email etc when they are not logged in. Pretty stupid that I have friends and I need to catch them logged on to try and get a message to them............
Enlighten me, is some sort of message/inbox system coming to the Players feature on the ps2 site?

Why don't you just add them to your Skype? That's what I do, but that would be cool if we had a feature like this for PlanetSide 2. If it could work in-game and on website, would be even better.

Yeah, if we can see anyone's stats on the Players site then I can't see the problem about PM ing them if they are a friend. Basically at the moment there is no way of comunicating with them unless the are logged on to the game.

Add them on steam.

The only real viable option would be to try and add them to your friends list so you can see when they come online. I'm not sure I actually know anyone in the game who plays via steam.

Theres no form of in game mail or offline messaging I doubt we will see it added.

I don't know, we might see it added someday... But yeah, it's not ingame as of now but it could be someday!
