The Spartan Guard is recruiting active players on Waterson for the Vanu Sovereignty. If you are interested in joining, send a friend request to any Spartan Leader, Spartan General, or Spartan Commander, as well as a private tell in game indicating that you would like to join the Spartan Guard. Then, run with us a few times during public squad/platoon operations. The more visible you are to us... the more often you fight by our sides... the more likely we will be to send you an invitation to join the few, but mighty Spartan Guard. If you see us online, but do not see a public squad available, send us a private tell and ask for an invite. Often we run closed squad/platoon operations, but we are always open to inviting prospective new members to run with us in private squad/platoon ops.
Ideal candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate loyalty to the Vanu Sovereignty, friendliness to your Vanu brothers and sisters, and a strong will to fight the New Conglomerate thugs and the Terran Republic scum. For honor, for glory. We are Spartans.
- Demonstrate a willingness to follow orders quickly. The Spartan Guard is a rapid deployment unit, and when an order is given to redeploy, time is often of the essence. Stragglers will get left behind and can reduce the effectiveness of our unit. Failure to follow orders costs the lives of our Vanu brothers and sisters.
- Demonstrate a willingness to teach what you know, and learn what we teach. The Spartan Guard is full of experienced players and newcomers alike. Learn from our experiences, and share yours. There is a lot to know in order to master this game, and each member of our outfit must be open to new concepts and ideas while also sharing theirs with us. It is a give and take relationship.
- Demonstrate a willingness to employ sound tactics. The Spartan Guard does not generally run with the zerg mentality. We achieve more with smaller numbers than some large outfits can with higher numbers. Our mission objectives typically range from diversionary assaults, flanking maneuvers, defensive saves, hit and run harassment of the enemy and supporting other platoon's missions.
- Demonstrate a willingness to communicate effectively. The Spartan Guard command relies on feedback from the battlefield in order to make informed decisions. All members of the Spartan Guard should have a working microphone. All members of the Spartan Guard should aspire to provide vital field intelligence to their commander like the location of enemy forces, particularly enemy spawn beacons and Sunderers.
We look forward to fighting the good fight by your side.
