1. Building myself with help from friends and family.
2. ~£500. Tempted to go over for the beautiful graphics if need be, might upgrade later though I dunno. (Including tax. Not including case, OP or shipping) 3. Wareham, Dorset, England 4. Gaming 5. CPU (quad core), MotherBoard, RAM, GPU, Hard drive, (maybe SSD), DVD and CD drive and PSU. 6. Microsoft mouse and keyboard, ViewSonic screen. 7. 1280 x 1024 maybe less don't mind really. 8. I have Windows XP 32bit. (will get Win7 64bit of a friend selling it cheaper so I'm not including it in the budget) 9. I have no idea about motherboards :/. I want USB 3.0 though. 10. unlikely, I don't like it really. 11. I'm saving now but computer is a low priority so likely next year sometime, hence 'Future rig'. Sorry I know that makes it harder to speculate price for quality. This is what I have in mind for some parts but this is my first time, don't what I'm doing which is why I need the help. CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition or AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) (Will these be outdated by then?) Case: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...5VJGSDGKJV1Z1G Mainly because it's pretty in my opinion. RAM: 8GB |

There is going to be new CPUs and GPUs from both companies by first quarter of 2013. Not much point in suggesting build options right now unfortunately.
Both those AMD processors will be really out dated by that time.

Probably best to make a new thread since you won't be purchasing anything till 6+ months from now, by which time your plans might've changed regarding budget and interests.
Or you can just update the original post with your new plans by that time, it really doesn't make much of a difference. |
