Wouldn't the "electrical storms" damage your microwave?

It cant break the microwave. The surface of the CD only reflects and makes the waves visible to the naked eye. how can microwave waves hurt a microwave?

I consider my microwave poisoning my food hurting my microwave. Try taking some chemistry and physics when you get into high school.

Tesla Coil

The setup consists of a high voltage AC source, Tr1, which is typically a neon sign transformer powered from a domestic mains supply. This gives a typical output at the secondary of 6 to 15kV, at a few tens of mA and 50 or 60Hz frequency.
So, I can have this in my living room?
