Web Access/Portal
For keeping in-touch with the game, your character, Systematic and Live Events. Generally the status of everything and remote customization of some things. Essentially spectating the world from your phone, remotely - PlanetSide 2 would always be with you!

I suppose CCP do great job at this already with their EVE Gate and EVE Is Real websites, but anyway...

a portal to edit character training;
to manage your Outfit in multiple ways;
to observe current state of Auraxis and your Empire;
to be updated on your region's Systematic and Live Events;
to be updated on PlanetSide 2 news and servers (Twitter feed?);
and to manage your PlanetSide 2 SOE account (redirected to SOE, i guess),
and more ...

Some security about all this as well. We all use our phones at our own risk. Murdoch reference.

Cross out the ability to edit character training from the website and it has my stamp of approval.

Just don't make us login to a website so that we then can then get into PS2. EA is doing this with Battlefield and its real irritating.

im sure thats only for the server browser and stats on BF3

But anyways they said they would have a full API for the game. and if you know what that means. Most of this stuff on this list will be possible.

An unofficial site is already being worked on to utilize the PS2 data exposure. More details will be released once we are ready to announce something.

I would like this, in a Iphone App too.... 5 Thumbs up. The idea of using my phone, to see whats going on will just make me get so excited to get on that night... EEEEEE...

But, no really an APP would be cool.

I've seen the argument, regarding EVE, against that because it will lead to character farming and account sales through scripting. Really, there's nothing stopping people from scripting client logins and button presses. All it ever did to me (before the long queues) was make me carry EVE around with me so I could futz with my skills once a day.

Log in.
Click button.
Log out.

A web portal would save me the trouble of using drive space on my portable and would be functionally identical for a RMT house. Making me log into game for 10-20 seconds doesn't do much for anyone else's experience and just takes me longer doing what I need to do every day.
