Might be a concussion grenade?
First time I got hit by one I thought I was just lagging too.

Drop Pods were always so useless when I played, you'd pod in and it was a giant beacon showing the enemy where you are, always just had a vehicle waiting to kill me. I never felt that the base spawn stuff was very good either, it seems to sporadic like in terms of where you can spawn, never consistent. The Sunds are crap as well, they need to just call it an AMS and give it a cloak...
The biggest problem though with spawning is you can never spawn to defend because if you do you'll just be spawn camped and that isn't fun, so I always just went back to the warp gate and fly over to where we're attacking or change cont to where we have a zerg going. |
