Indeed, the lightning is a fine little hunt dog. I love waiting for one of the enemys main battle tanks to retreat behind a hill to repair, and then follow them. Take out the weak and the stragelers. i just wish it got a little extra something.

lol, OF cracks me up. I have gotten like 12 posts from people that seem to think I don't know what a lightning is. I swear I just need to cut and paste my responce to the reply, "It is suposed to be fast! and frail!!11!!1!121! Use it in an ambush!!!!@#1234!!g!" lol, OF people are kinda slow.

Yeah, OF forums are full idiots.
Nitsch, I was in a battle for a tower near Cyssor, fighting the Vanu, I was doing laps around the tower looking for people to kill, and I see this AMS come barreling through the crowd killing a few NC. I start to follow it. I am tossing shells at it, all through the country side, we go right through the center of the battle several times, running people over. Eventually he hit a tree and I got the last 2-3 hits to finish it off. Super AMS high speed chases are indeed very cool.

Geez... I may have to go back to my lightening cert now. Miss it.
It's actually pretty good at smacking down wall turrets. It's fast enough to get under them (where every shot you take is a direct hit). Also, wall turrets fire for center-of-mass, while the lightening cannon is off to one side. I usually use 3rd person to line up my shots. The first 3-5 go wide, but after that, you can just pound a turret to schrapnel without taking any damage yourself. They're great for taking out non-av infantry, and can own any max at range. And if those maxes get in too close, there's always the lightening's mastery of fender-foo. Hi-ya!!! |
