I would have loved to have been there. I just didn't really expect much from the event. It was basically a live command center. Which isn't really a bad thing.
Was just hoping for a little more tidbits that might make people want look forward to specific things being released in the later part of the year. |

Even better folks like Jax and Goldenboy from MLG got to see what this community is all about. |

Though the Keynote was sort of Planetside 2's, well, keynote address, there were plenty of other panels and discussions that probably won't appear on Twitch.
-Environment Panel -MLG Panel -Roadmap Panel -Something Else I'm Forgetting There was also "Brunch with the Devs" that had a good 20-30 PS2 players able to sit down and pick the brains of Higby, T-Ray, XanderClauss, Malorn, and a couple others. To quote Higby "I feel like I'm at a pitch meeting, you guys are just throwing ideas at us...and I love it" We got a few new insights into the game's development and some fleshing-out of the features on the roadmap. We got some of our personal ideas and some of the community's ideas on the table to the dev team in an unfiltered, direct format (yelling drunkenly at them). We had tournaments and events! So while the Keynote may not have been a fireworks extravaganza, we all had a great time meeting the devs and eachother and I think we really got something out of attending. Hoping to go again next year.

Robo is correct. There were about a half dozen Planetside 2 focused panels that were not streamed in any way. During "Brunch with the Dev Team" I had the opporunity to chat at length with one of hte technical directors about how hard the triple load screen has been to fix. I gained some interesing insight into the technical challenges of the game.

There was nothing really new but still, quite interesting. One thing I saw was that Nexus would be rolled out, sometime in November. However I'm curious as to when we shall see it on the Test Server.
If anyone at SOE live played on Nexus, what were your thoughts on it? Shame the panels weren't streamed but there you are. |

There is evidence for my statement. I refer your grace to this thread made on the 22nd July (http://www.planetside-universe.com/s...ad.php?t=56089), in which Higby specifically states what I was led to believe.
The prosecution rests its case . EDIT: The evidence from the said thread. Last edited by CrimsonTemplar; 2013-08-07 at 10:50 AM. |

It's pretty hard to go to Vegas and not have a good time... so, I don't think that should be the measure of the PS2 event.
I watched it online and I was pretty underwhelmed. They can still be open about development... and have some nice nuggets for the fans. I understand that EQN was the star of the show, this year... but generating excitement should be a goal for ALL of their major games (I assume PS2 fits in that description). |
