even during ps1's lowest pop periods when a few hundred might be on at once, we still could pop lock at elast one cont and have a blast. if pops get low it will be much the same. larger open areas are less contested, and it comes down to base battles.
however now that tech has cought up, the game is being advertised and free, i cant see it happening. there are really really terrible games out there with massive playerbases. |

Planetside has a way of being as big as it needs to be, hopefully planetside 2 will be the same.
I've always found if the pop isnt as high as you'd like (light night PS seshs, we've all been there), the big open battles end quicker and people end up a lot closer, so it doesnt feel to empty. |
