Guys,

If you can donate - donate. Long term it may be that adverts (banners only hopefully) are necessary but lets show the PSU bods that thier hard work is appreciated in the best way possible by sending them money so they can continue to produce the best site i have seen in ages.

Our community is great, i have rarely seen a forum that is so productive and positive. The lack of lame people who do nothing but flame people reflects greatly on us, and on the PSU admin staff for the effort they put in to ensure all of this.

Give if you can, i understand that not everyone has "spare" money (if there is such a thing as spare money) but those who do I am sure will donate. I have just done so (paypal makes it so easy) and i hope others will too...

Look at it this way, what would you do without PSU???

Well, I am not a man of riches, but I do believe that it is important to invest in those things that have a return on investment. That return isn't in the form of money, but rather in the form of information and community leadership. So I chipped in.

For a long time now, PSU has provided the community with the most up-to-date information possible, through community observation and its contacts at SOE. PSUs forums and IRC have allowed the community to form and take shape. IRC-conversations and debates alike have helped potential players gain interest and have acted as Ritalin for stressed-out veteran PlanetSide anticipaters. I, for one, believe that this trend of information upkeep and community presence will persist once PlanetSide goes gold, and beyond.

On a personal note, I have been working with Marsman, Hamma, and Flynt on some ideas for PlanetSide OpCenter and PSU/AGN interaction. The first of which has gone live at OpCenter, whereby players/outfits can report on Missions/Events that they have planned and run via OpCenter. This information, while viewable to all OpCenter members, is to be potentially used by AGN for reporting purposes; thus giving outfits potential notariety, and extending the reach of the PlanetSide community.

PlanetSide OpCenter supports PlanetSide Universe. If you can give, please do; even if it is a dollar or two a month.
