I'm going to have to say no as well.
Maybe MAYBE if the DEVs want to, they can modify the sound of the gun depending on the side grades involved (silencers come to mind). But there would have to be a reason why the gun sounds the way it does. And frankly if they did the sound right the first time, everyone should love it. As it stands, some of us rely heavily on identifying gun reports, having a variety of options for either a cycler or gauss would make things trickier for the Vanu trying to figure out who's around the corner. |

I like the idea of sidegrades slightly modifying the sound of a gun.
It makes sense from a realism point a view that a change in how a gun operates would change its audio signature. It also adds the tactical aspect of recognizing what someones customizations are if you work to know the various sounds. |

I would prefer to have client-side sound mods. Those were pretty damn fun for ArmA 1 and ArmA 2. Besides, when it's client-side, it's not going to bother other players or give you advantage over other players.
Players would get to create their own sound-mods and use them |
