It may come down to what weapons you enjoy. In PS1, I had characters on all of the empires, but initially played VS mostly. Then after awhile I started to use the NC's medium assault rifle, the Gauss, and I fell in love with it and never looked back. After that, it was NC4Life.

There's a ton of great reasons for you to decide which empire, but I think it will come down to which one just feels right for you. You'll know it, and after a few intence epic battles, you'll work up a solid hatred for the other empires.

I have as well, unfortunately. It takes all kinds to fill an empire. VS, TR and NC will all have their fill of A-holes.
