If they stayed the same as they are now, I'd want two back to back during the server's primetime hours.

If they made them less frequent, there should be additional rewards for different levels of victory. If you win just barely, you get the usual XP payout. If you win by a large margin, better stuff. If you dominate 100%, awesome stuff.

I've sent the thread link to Mr. Weathers (UI/Systems Design Lead).
So the more voters the larger the sample size and the more useful this poll becomes.

I think they happen a little too frequently all too often I've had great fights ruined because half your faction goes back to the warpgate at 5 minutes to get ready to go to the alert.

On a random note as someone had stated it, I would like land to be more valuable too but with the lattice I think that would just be annoying. 60vs60 zergs you con't really have control over fighting for fighting for something valuable. I barely trust them to drive a tank much less drive a fight.

I wonder what participation numbers look like. Is it the case that X% of online players regularly participate? Can we reliably predict how many people are going to try to pile onto the Alert continent?

If we can make that prediction, I think it would be a good idea to delay the beginning of continent specific Alerts if there are enough players online to cause a long queue. Those types of alerts should be used exclusively as a tool to focus the players during times of low population.

Whenever I log on I do notice there are a lot of people in the warpgate building running a script as if they're doing an old fashioned dance. 2 steps forward, left 1-2, back 1-2 right 1-2 and repeat.

They are too frequent at the moment.

I also don't like the cap all the X on Y continent. There seems to be a bit more strategy involved with capping X bases on ALL conts.

The 4th faction pop imbalance during alerts needs to be SOE's highest priority IMO. As stated it makes the alerts suck and people rage quit during them. A hard fight lost is still a good fight, getting steamrolled sucks.

Re: Alert Frequency

Well what they give you is a finite timed win condition which I feel will be important for the console oriented guys. PS1 vets look more for continental conquest and that should remain but for the new guys looking for a "quick" win condition the alerts would be a good thing.
