Because it wasnt oepn to public debate. Unfortunatly you couldnt really run a development process based entirely on customer input, it'd be great but it whould just be faster to do the design yourself. Plus their like anyone else, if they spend 2 weeks on something and show no good results their boss stands on their neck.
