I adjusted mine to where they run ~ 45% at load (pretty quiet). it does get me all the way to 67C though.

Carnage most people here aren't going to be able to run the xtreme setting. I have the key for my advanced version, but lost it lol.

Yeah, I know, I was just posting my results, I only ever use the extreme settings to benchmark... hmmm might give the other settings ago see how they handle...

one of the reasons I really want to test PS2 is to see if I can max out my rig for a long period, currently I hit Skyrims engine limit only using 60% of each card and 40-70% of my CPU

Edit;
Got P9966 3DMarks on a test with MAX CCC GPU clocks
Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4.8GHz (46% OC)
2X 1G Gigabyte HD 6950OC Crossfired at 900MHz & 1325MHz

My single 670 isn't too far behind . Maybe I'll buy a second one this month just for kicks!

Re: The Benchmarking Thread (Heaven & 3DMark11)

This is my system:
Intel i7-2600K @4,5 GHz cooled by Alpenföhn Brocken
Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 @950Mhz GPU/1390Mhz Memory, sadly the OC version with the dual/triple fans was out of stock when I ordered it
MSI Z68A-GD65
320GB Samsung Spinpoint F4 HD322GJ HDD
120GB Mushkin Chronos SSD
8GB Kingston DDR3 (2x4GB, 1333MHz)
700W Corsair GS700

The graphics card is as high as I can get it at the moment before the driver fails.
@Goku: Do you have the TwinFrozr III version of the MSI 7950 and did you do any voltage tweaking? (Though I am too much of a pussy to change voltage)
This is what I came up with:

Yes I do have the Twin Frzr III. Bumped it up to 1.2V max trying to run 1200MHz stable. Cooler just cannot cope with the heat by the looks of it. Seems I corrupted the driver from my brief overclocking like that. However I'm going to just aim for 1150MHz hopefully around 1.15V. I don't want to pump in anymore, so if I have to tone it down so be it.

Are you talking to me Artimus? I don't have any plans on switching out right now. If these 7950s drop like a rock come next gen I may get another for Crossfire

7950 is the up-to-date model. I don't see why there would be the need to switch. Like Goku says, Crossfire would probably my next step aswell.

Not as high as ya'll with ya'lls fancy smancy SSD, but it's 1000 points higher and 2x as much average FPS as my old rig.

note: I'm not gonna run my cpu OC'd during the summer, hehe.

Got my 2500k to 5300mhz. Its stable but gets too hot after extended periods with the cooling I have now. Currently ordering REAL watercooling.

Also, I replaced the Sapphire 7970 Dual-OC with an Asus 7970 DirectCUII-TOP, got it brand new for $320.

Was the 7970 from NCIX deal? I just don't like the idea of a 3 slot cooler. Especially, since I have 2 devices I use in my PCI-e slots besides the video card. If I by chance wanted to do multi gpu I would be screwed.

No, I got it from a guy in CA who can sometimes get good deals. Don't know how he does it but he says he can get more of these Asus cards. I originally asked him to look for another Sapphire but he couldn't get any of those.

I dislike 3-slot cards also, if I wanted to do Crossfire I would need to watercool it or sell it. On the other hand it cools very well and is very quiet.
