She may have said okay to the dance because that sorta takes the pressure of an actual date off. She may not want to be go out on an actual date. She might not be ready for that, but she might feel comfortable going to the dance with you because it is school related and other people will be there. There would not then be as much pressure as it being an actual date.
Her parents might also not let her go out on dates. That seems pretty young to be going out on dates to me. I think most girls (from what I remember) went out on group dates till they were 16ish. At least from what I remember, but that was also about 15 years ago. |

It's all good.
Just make sure, and especially at your age, that dates are group/or very public activities. It'll make her feel more comfortable, make her parents happy with what a nice respectable boy you are, and increase your chances of success. Also never ask a girl out unless you have a plan, time, place, activity, everything. 1 Chicks dig a man who can plan, and 2 women are suckers for men who look like they're in control (an entire part of planning) For example: Pilgrim: Hey how you doing, wanna go out on Friday? Girl: UMMMM You're kinda as homely as a dirt toellete! Pilgrim: Yeah and? Girl: Well I don't, what where you thinking? Pilgrim: Oh something simple, like dinner, then a movie, classic kinda date. Girl: OK What do I have to loose but an evening. Pilgrim: Damn straight, I'll pick you up at 6 Girl: OK, see you then Pilgrim (under breath) and I'll see if you swallow. Girl: What? Pilgrim: Nothing Also listen for hints, she mentions she want's to see a movie, even if you don;t want to, tell her you were going to go see that and see if she wants to see it with you. The key to understanding women is to push them to a half-way point, then just finish the deal! PAX

Also, don't make the mistake that most guys do of acting like a bull in a china shop. You don't need to be dominating in the sense of I am the man, this is the date. Go out on a group date with a bunch of people and it will make her feel much more relaxed. It will also help you because there are other people around and talking will be much easier.
One great piece of advice to getting women (because they are fucking nuts) - women do not want men who are pansies or who are obnoxious about how great they are. The best approach I have found is to act like you are interested in her, but that if she doesn't go out with you, you will just find someone else. Women like attention and want to feel special, but they also don't want a guy who is going to fall all over them and be clingy. But, at the same time they don't want a guy who is aloof. Your approach should always be - I like you, I want to date you, but if you don't want me I am gonna be just fine and gonna get someone else - your loss. That approach works great. I got lots of women who people thought were ungettable because I didn't suck up to them, but I let them know that I thought they were special. But then I got married, and well, uh, well - ugh !!! |

Pff, that's what relationships are like at that age! Serious dating for me started around 17-18.

Rule of thumbs: 1. Don't wait. 2. Don't be dressed like a moron when you ask her out for a DATE! 3. Remember your too old to write letters to ask that kind of shit, or to ask "Wanna be b/f, g/f!?" 4. Don't aim too high! I know this may sound dumb but for some time I went out with ok but not great girls. Within that time I learned alot about women and myself. I changed myself for the best now I can get better girls... in fact, good looking to hot. (Pamela on a 1-10 scale is a definite 9.) Being mature can help too... so just go up to some girl you know that interests you. Don't even let her get a word out after "Hi" just say it out: Me + you! Dinner friday night I won't take no for an awnser hmk? I'll pick you up at 7! This techniques leaves them speechless and they usually end up saying fine ! Act mature and all be interesting and tadam if your lucky you might just have found a woman! This was tips by... me... *cough* Ps. Don't try it if your unsure of yourself only trying to help you, you need confidence to do anything of those.

I would definitely NOT suggest following through with "You and me, dinner? I'll pick you up, and I won't take no for an answer." The only person who did that to me has three distinct characteristics:
1. he's the only guy I have turned down 2. he did take no for an answer (gave up after about 5 minutes of me saying, "I'm going to be doing homework. No.") 3. he didn't know where I lived (thankfully), so he couldn't follow through!
