I come home today, get out of my car see my mom is watering the garden and the red flag on the mailbox is up I ask if the mail was here yet (thinking it wasn't since the red flag was still up from this morning) and she didn't know, she hadn't seen any mail carriers and to ask my dad

So I go inside and find my dad, ask him, he didn't know

Finally I check the mailbox, thinking if my beta CD wasn't here it meant one of two things (or both):

A) SOE is unreliable
B) USPS is unreliable


But sure enough, my PS CD is finally here, halleilujah

Well the difference is Only people selected for exclusive beta can download the game.... The rest of us have to wait for a CD in the mail.

I look outside at my mailbox and from the perspective I have, am able to see if the mailbox's lid is sealed tightly or slightly ajar. If the latter, it means the postman was already here... and just my luck, it was.

I walk down and begin to open the lid... then slam it shut without looking at it. Better prepare myself mentally. I mean, I've been praying for it for the past 2 weeks and always been striken with grief when it wasn't here. I steeled myself for the inevitable:








It was here...? It is here?! Holy FUCK! Jeezus christ! GOD ALMIGHTY! I don't care which diety (or lack thereof) you worship, but they're on my good side now! I HAVE IT!!!!

And the servers are down. Go figure.

I certainly don't mind though. At least I know I could get in.

hmm. sweden here. and i gave up the moment i saw that the contests were only to us and canadian residents have fun playing beta. I'll join up and play when i buy retail (hopefully after playing demo)
