OMFG I am going to die... started the download of PS Beta last night, it is now @ 99% complete with 34 seconds left. It has been like this for the past 10 minutes. This is driving me nuts... should I cancel it and start over, or throw my whole computer out the window into the pouring rain hoping it will be struck by lighthning and a genie will pop out?

That all depends on what faction you plan to play.

If you're going NC, wait.

If you're going TR, throw it out the window.

If you're going VS, put on a pair of pink tights and bring your still plugged in pc into the tub with you.

Dear God it has been 30 mins I think.... and no change. So I canceled it. Now I have to start it over again, I'm gonna die.... maybe, just maybe it will start from where it left off

Well... If You were smart (like I wasn't) You used a dedicated downloading program, that keeps track of how much's been downloaded and are able to pick up where it went wrong and so on. If You are using that, You'll be quite OK.

Yesterday - LATE - when I finally got through to the beta file on fileplanet, I had already gotten to bed, and for some reason my PC decided to use the native download ("save as"). When I got up this morning I said to myself "uhhh... Ok" and pressed ok to start downloading it. Had I been actually awake, I would have seen to that I used the dedicated download program (in my case RealDownload), because when I got home from work there was this pop up window telling me that:

"Download cancelled at 60%: The file is to big. Well, I think it was anyway. Ok, You got me - I basically decided to cancel that huge giga byte download just to spite You. Yep - You got it. Yer fucked."

Now I'm a grown man. I grunt more than I talk. I walk big leggedly... but I have to admit that my lower lip trembled considerably there for a while.

So i started another download: 43% and counting...

*sigh* I never download shit from FilePlanet - and this is why. It was on my sisters comp, and she didn't have Get Right... so I used the save as command. I'm gonna have to do that next time... waiting in line is a bitch - it takes 3+ mins to knock down 1 min on the count down timer.

Yeah, well... I've had bileplanet mysteriously dump me out of the queue, lets see, about eight times now, when it got down to 10-20 minutes after at least an hour, usually two.
Currently at 108 minutes and counting...

Not that it matters, I can't run the thing anyways. Well, maybe I can *run* it, but I can't *play* it.
