How do you switch empires?

sorry for posting another so soon. But i need to know this. I've heard of a feature that tells you if a empire needs help. does that mean that if you were going to play the vanu but then decided to go to New Conglomerate because it said it needed help could you do that, or would your squad prevent you

There are 4 servers, on each server you can only join 1 empire. If you would like to, after joining an empire and hearing another empire needs players, you can delete all your characters from that original empire and join the underdog one. Also, if you would like to play for multiple empires, you can do so by playing for different empires on different servers.
