Need help (planetside Registation)

When you install planetside does it ask for the cd-key when your installing it or when you make your account?

reason i ask is was wondering if i could play it on my desktop and laptop with just one copy of planetside using the same account

Pretty sure it associates the CD Key with the account, Almost 100% sure.

That is to say, if you try and log in with an account (sony account, the username / password combo you enter) that doens't have an active Planetside account associated with it, it will ask you to register and supply the key.

Once it does have one, you should just be able to sign in without registering, even on secondary installs.

So, yes, once you get your account up and running, you can technically (not sure about the license agreement) install the program on different machines, and log in from each (or use a friends install to log in). You just can't be logged in with the same account from more than one location at the same time.

This is how it works in Everquest, and I can't imagine that PS will be any different.

Once the account is activated, you can play from any machine in the world. I've logged into my EQ account from 7 different computers. You just have to have it installed and be willing to type in your station name and password.
