Grief points are what happens when you shoot other players/run them over. Obviously only friendlies.
They just keep track up to about a thousand or so then thiongs start to get bad at about 2000 your weapons lock after that things can eventualy lead to banning pretty quick. Important to note that griefpoints are account based. You loose them at a steady rate over time dont remember what rate.

Reason I ask is that I was killin and enemy a while ago and a guy on my side walked right in front of my missles and he got killed and I got 8 G points. He wasnt pissed but I was actually a bit bothered as he should have been able to see (and avoid) the stream of missiles i was firin.

OK, here we go:
1.) Grief points are what you get for shooting friendly stuff (soldiers, vehicles, terminals). 2.) You get 'em for what I just said. 3.) They first warn you once, then twice, then they lock your guns and reduce your vehicle speed to %10. Then they suspend you from play. 4.) You get rid of 'em by not shooting people. Your grief will eventually just go away if you try not to go off killing friendlies.
