This Fanfiction takes place a few years after the events of AztecWarrior's 'Sanctuary no longer', and may or may not be bound into that storyline. that will be decided later.

Lieutenant Major Razer sat at his command post, overlooking the sealed wormhole. nearly two decades had passed since the collapse of this gateway. he had known some of those who went through. He had even planned to go himself, once he was old enough to join the millitary. three years before his 18th birthday, the spatial rift closed, locking him out. he wondered now if it had been a blessing, and not a curse, wondering how the people were surviving... if there were any left.

Then he noticed something odd about the object of his interest. a blue tinge around the edges of the wormhole, a deep red in it's center, a pulsing rainbow of hues between. a bright light emitted from the epicenter of the rift. then his telephone rang.

"Are you seeing what i'm seeing, Razor?"
"Dangit, Robinson, i keep telling you to call me by my real name during important matters. yes, i'm seeing it. what is it?"
"Well, it appears to be an influx of radio waves and light emissions. i only managed to trap some of the radio signals. here's the recording."

"Auxaris base to Terran Republic, Auxaris base to Terran Republic, come in! can you read me? please respond! *mumbling* Of course i'm trying! Obviously, the wormhole has collapsed! We are standed!"

"Razer, do you know what this means? these signals were trapped on the far side of that wormhole.... they must have gone through. It's open again... Should i call CentComm?"
"No, I'll handle the diplomacy. just keep watching for abnormalities... other than a closed wormhole opening."

"Brigadier General, Sir, big trouble going down in space. About 6 frigates with original Terran Republic markings have entered orbit around Auxaris."
"Well, Sergeant, keep watching them. I have the lurking suspicion that the wormhole has reopened, judging from the observational satellite photos. If i'm right, the Terran Republic has no idea what the sam-hill happened here during the 18 years since the wormhole collapse. if they show hostile intent, prepare a warm welcome for them. if they land, do not fire. fill them in on what happened on this side of the Wormhole. we may get some defectors, but this could become a very bad situation, unless the military might of the 'thousand year republic' has waned to these battleships."
"Any further orders, Sando?"
"Inform the other outfits. They should know about this. Then tell the Senate. If there's one thing i don't like in a war, it's politics."

[TR Sanctuary CentCom]
"Manitou, sir, there are six Terran frigates in orbit over Auxaris! the wormhole has opened! We finally can crush these dissidents as the insects they are!"
"Easy, lieutenant. 'Never underestimate a foe, it costs you dearly.' we have to be certain. make contact as soon as they land. Pledge our continued support and explain about the dissidents. Hamma?"
"Yes, sir?"
"Contact the Board of Proconsuls. Let them know about this."

[VS Sanctuary CentCom]
"Quick, take a look at this. our orbital station picked up this image about fifteen minutes ago. They appear to be Terran Republic in origin, and they came through the Wormhole."
"By the Vanu's blood, Starrider, do you know what this means? contact the Council of Five. We may have terran invaders on our hands."
"Certainly, sir."

The man called RazorBlade was eagerly looking out the window of his orbital troop deployer. scans had determined that there were three major population centers on the planet, just as there were before. but now, he and his group saw large dome-shaped bubbles of energy dotting the landscape. scanner signals that entered the very center of this dome appeared elsewhere on the planet. peculiar. He was planning on dropping in straight down to a population center, but electromagnetic interfefence directly above it would kill the engines- and everyone aboard on impact with the ground. so they steered for another continent. they landed in snowy, hilly terrain and equipped their M98 millitary assault rifles, ready for anything. Well, almost anything. when they saw suits of armor clunking towards them, they almost panicked. The things looked like a bigger, beefier human with chainguns mounted to it's arms.

"Welcome back to Auxaris. My name is Destroyeron."
"What in the hell are you!?!"
"I'm a Terran Republic soldier, like yourself."
"Why are you so- well- huge?"
"This? This is a Mechanized Assault eXosuit, MAX for short. biggest advance in warfare since the tank. carries some pretty serious firepower too."
"How the heck do you put that on?"
"Nanites construct it around you."
"Nanotechnology? we haven't quite worked the bugs out of that yet. so, why all the heavy firepower?"
"The VS is here in force."
"VS? What on earth-"
"You guys are a bit behind the times. I'll call you a transport to the Sanctuary."

Sure enough, several large aircraft arrived and transported the twenty-man team to one of the population centers.

"Welcome to the TR Sanctuary! first stop, the Board of Proconsuls for briefing."

A short while later, the soldiers of Old Terra were before a council of the seven proconsuls.

"State your name and rank."
"Lieutenant Major Razer Blaad, RazorBlade to friends, sir."
"Lieutenant, I don't know where to begin. since the collapse of the wormhole, there have been three major occurences. The first is the discovery of the Vanu Technology.

"The Vanu technology was an amazing thing indeed. it gifted us with nanotechnology, rapid transport between continents, even the ability to thwart death and be reborn when you are killed. After the collapse of the wormhole, seperatist factions began forming, keeping in mind that the full Terran army couldn't come crashing down on them. The discovery of the Vanu Rebirthing tech emboldened them further, because they were no longer felt threatened by death. this leads us to the other two events, the breakaway of the Vanu Soverignty, and the forming of the New Conglomerate. the Vanu Soverignty seeks to dehumanize us, eliminate emotion and all that makes us uniqe, by force if need be. the New conglomerate is a group of Anarchists, demanding more personal freedom, and now attempting to take it by force. We need todefeat these seperatists by whatever means neccissary. Can we expect the full support of the republic?"
"If what you say is true, then most of the Republic may be equally emboldened."
"Nonsense! Will you help us?"
"It seems i have no choice."
