I just installed the game and i cant open it,
I click the icon and get some error about not having _aunchpad
So i go to the site it tells me to and nothing happens.
Its not my firewall because well I dont have one lol.
And I cant even play offline, this patch shouldnt effect offline play should it?

The manual says i should get a login screen when i open the game but i dont get past the loading menu. and now i dont even get that, just some message..

Anyone else had this problem ? If so what can i try?
Ive tried re-installing it and it didnt work,..

Call tech support... sounds like something didn't install correctly.

I just called there, the only help they could offer was to try and download this patch from http://patch.station.sony.com:7000/p.../LPPatcher.exe
But it will not do anything for me.
Perhaps someone here is willing to share the launchpad patch with me?

the link you posted works fine, I'd say its the same reason your launchpad doesn't work

Weird when i clicked the link on the SOE site for that nothing happened but when i clicked the one i just posted it worked FINE!

I am having the same issue except i receive an error message of the basic, simple ANNOYING message of
"LPPatcher.exe/launcher.exe(depening on which file i am installing/downloading) has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I managed to get on last nite ONCE to subscribe yet i didnt get to play and my time is being wasted away. I really want to kill the SOE developers as ive seen so many people complaining about this but nothing seems to get fixed.

I have tried downloading the patcher from the site, from two different locations, reinstalling, deleting and installing more. I dunno what to do. I run XP, 2.4 p4, rad 9700, 1 gig.

My subscription is slowly leaving.........

I would appreciate it if somebody could post this on the PS forums as i cant post there because APPARENTLY IM SPAMMING ON MY FIRST POST. GOD DAMN SOE.

I'd call their techsupport and tell them that your having those troubles and ask if they can perhaps give you back the time wasted on your free subscription. Hey it's worth a shot all they can say is no
