actually i think VS weapons are gonna do more damage on acurate fire, but unlike other empires, do not hae to have a direct hit to do damage with their standard projective weapons(meaning non-explosive)... at least their lasher and one other i think have this 'orb' with splash damge, i think more might though....

what this means is if you are accurate, you do more damage... but less accurate people also can do the splash damage

I'm just checking, I haven't actually seen anywhere where it says the Vanu have less recoil. I think people may have just assumed that because it seems that's how it should be. Imo, I think that all of the congruent weapons will all recoil congruently. Otherwise, one side would be at a high advantage because you wouldn't have to reaquire a target, so even if your weapons did less damage, you would be getting hit exponentionally more. That would really give the Vanu an advantage over spray and pray styles like the TR minigun. (Also, isn't the vanu thing all about aggravated dmg,or am I making that up...hmmmm) Thats just my thoughts, cause I couldn't remember seeing that said by an official.

No I am pretty sure some if not all of the VS weapons have recuded recoil, because they are energy weapons.

well if u classify what the dev's say on forums and interviews hearsay, i guess it would be, but Hamma and a few others have played the game and know some of the balance of it. No doubt that will change durning further beta testing but most of the info, atleast the conceptual stuff, will stay the same.

Vanu look cool as hell, but from this talk about energy weapons and not being a lucrative killer, that makes me sad.

As far as lower recoil the weapon summary for the Pulsar:

"The Pulsar automatic assault rifle is a highly effective weapon utilized by the Vanu Sovereignty. With minimum recoil due to its energy-based technology, the Pulsar can be devastating at short to medium range."

I assume since all of the Vanu's weapons are energy based they will have the same low recoil. That low recoil is the games way of balancing out the weapons. They do have an advantage over spray and pray weapons as far as accuracy but there rate of fire is still slower.

Whoracle don't let them fool you. Vanu will be just as good of a killer as anyone else. Just because you can't spray bullets everywhere doesn't mean they suck.
